"In the 30 years that I've been doing this for a living, I've never had a parent say to me, 'I regretted the time I spent with my son or child in Scouting.'"

---Roy L. Williams, Chief Scout Executive, Boy Scouts of America

Welcome to Pack 235!

We were originally chartered on October 1, 1960 by Red Hill Lutheran Church. We are a growing and active pack and currently have approximately 75 scouts, and about 20 adult leaders and coordinators. At least 95% of our scouts earn their rank advancement each year. We recruit not only from Red Hill Lutheran Church and School, but also from Red Hill Elementary, Myford Elementary, and Benson Elementary. While each pack is given specific schools they are allowed to recruit from, Pack 235 warmly welcomes scouts from other schools, as well!

Ages: Cub Scouting is for boys in the first through fifth grades, or 7 to 10 years of age.

Meetings: We meet as a pack once a month, usually on a Friday night, in the Fellowship Hall of the Red Hill Lutheran Church from 7 – 8:15pm. Each den, as it is formed, decides their own meeting schedule - generally meeting 2-3 times per month.

If you are interested in learning more about out pack, please us via the "Contact Us" button in the menu.

November Theme: Helpful

Posted on Nov 2 2016 - 10:31am

A Scout is Helpful.

A Scout volunteers to help others without expecting a reward.

Each month Pack 235 will focus on one of the 12 points of the Scout Law in our den and pack meetings.

A Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent.

November Kindness Challenge for Scouts

Posted on Nov 2 2016 - 10:31am

For the month of November, the Orange County Council, BSA will join kindness forces with the Girl Scouts of Orange County and the Orange County Department of Education (OCDE) to participate in “One Billion Acts of Kindness.”  This special initiative, launched by OCDE Superintendent, Dr. Al Mijares, has the potential to be a serious game changer for our children and the entire county. We are asking every Scout and Scout leader to commit to one act of kindness every day in November in an effort to establish a trend that will last the entire school year.  If all 50,000 Girl Scout and Boy Scout members do just one act of kindness each day for 30 days in November, we will log 1.5 million acts of kindness!  That’s a game changer!

It’s as easy as doing one act of kindness and then logging it on the 1BAK website: kindness1billion.org. As all Scouts know, “A Scout is Kind” is the sixth point of the Scout Law, so we believe our Scouts and leaders already pro-actively live out this virtue. All we need to do now is log it and make it contagious. Imagine the impact in our communities as our Scouts lead the way in kindness, on their school campuses, in their neighborhoods, on the ball fields and encouraging other friends to join in.

Let everyone know how you are doing with your kindness campaign! Post pics to social media using #AScoutIsKind so we can see and share the great acts of kindness happening in our Scouting community.
